1. This elevation is interesting...but not likely...unless you have access to structural bamboo...know how to thatch...are not subject to code...and are a free "thinker". If you decide to do it...let me know...I will help...would be great to see it built.
2. More likely you will use a shed roof on both units...sloping to the north...or a gable or hip...or "flat" with parapets.
